"You are the best team"

About: St John's Hospital / Day Surgery Unit St John's Hospital / Outpatients Department St John's Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I was seen at St John’s Hospital Livingston after long wait. I needed Dupytrens contracture operation which I’d had done privately redone.

From my first appointment with Luca a consultant who performed a thorough examination to pre operative appointment with Bryan then another appointment to see Consultant Neil, the attention, care, professionalism and friendliness were second to none.

Operation went well with A team in theatre, recovery and day ward team were great too,  sorry can’t  remember all names but Grace RN you are right, you are the best team.

My follow ups so far been great and thanks to Fiona OPD4 who’s seeing me to remove stitches as my GP practice no longer does this.

I was really apprehensive about getting this operation again but it’s been a totally positive experience. Thank you all.

Hi Fiona56.

Firstly, I am very pleased to here your Dupuytrens Contractures have been rectified and you are healing well without complications!

Many thanks for taking the time to publish such a lovely supportive post for staff to see. I have passed this post onto my Charge Nurse within OPD4, Fiona the nurse who looked after you in clinic and also to Neil and Luca. It means a lot for us to be able to reflect positively on experiences within the hospital.

Feedback is always required and I thank you again for allowing us to read such a positive experience on your behalf.

I wish you all the best in your continuing recovery.

S/N Martin
