I have been unwell since Christmas and it's now nearly August. I was referred by my GP only around 19 weeks ago after experiencing and another Gallbladder Attack these are excruciating pain all the way up my back and down my right arm making it difficult to work my mouse and keyboard at work.
I also live with other complex issues: Fibromyalgia and M.E /CFS. I am struggling to function in every day life and even more so at work. My referral has been in to NHS Fife to speak with someone to confirm this indeed is my Gallbladder and Gallbladder Attacks. I feel awful. They have told me from the waiting times office that it will be 60 weeks before someone even looks at me to see what is going on. What happened to the TTG waiting times, 16/18 week Treatment Time Guarantee for patients to be seen?
From referral time to first visit, 60 weeks is shockingly long. My mum had a gallbladder issue which resulted in her gallbladder rupturing and resulted in life threatening results. I don't want to wait until mine ruptures before I am seen. Please let me know I don't have to put up with this for 60+ weeks. As even if they decide to operate it is going to be sometime over the 60 weeks. I have had to reduce my hours and feel like giving up completely.
