"Long delay made me miss other appointments"

About: Sexual Health Services - North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

I’m not happy with the way the Dr made me wait 2 hours to be served. I had an appointment for 8;30 and I only got the help at 10:30. Me being delayed started the previous day when the Dr kept trying to do a procedure on me that eventually failed. This was at Burton, the doctor had to refer me on. But I can say that I’m very concerned about the doctors confidence. I felt like if my Dr is taking all this time to assist me and sounding unsure then how is the outcome. I know it’s always good for professionals to run things with other colleagues at times but in this case why the unnecessary delay and inconvenience caused. I missed all my other appointments for that morning due to this delay.

Dear aratr88,

Apologies for the delay in responding to your much appreciated feedback.

I'd like to apologise for long delay in being seen for your appointment and the subsequent effect this had on your other appointments. I'd like to discuss this further with you. If you could email your name and DOB and I will give you a call to discuss.

Kind regards

Leanne Fowler
