About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Emergency department Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Gynaecology FAU (Ward 43)

(as the patient),

After being admitted via attendance at A&E to ward 43 feeling very unwell the whole team over the next 5 days made feeling unwell that much better. 

From catering to cleaning staff ,, health care assistants to nurses  and doctors & consultant each in their own way showed the NHS at its best .

Their professionalism , care  & patience was a credit to each and every one of them & the way the ward sister & deputy ward sister valued & respected their staff was evident. 

A lovely team of people carrying out their duties in the most professional manner. 

Some  experiences are not as positive but this team showed how dedication & respect for  each other & their patients allows being unwell  to feel that much more supported & the emotional support given was invaluable .

Thank you for taking the time during your recovery period to let all staff know how their care was appreciated by you. I will be sure to pass on your thanks to the wider team.

Hospital admissions can often be overwhelming for patients and it is reassuring the respect, professionalism, patience and care that was given to you by staff, made this experience a positive one, this was clearly evident to you under the guidance and support of the senior team members.

It is true to say that Staff who feel valued, work well together for the greater good of patients.
