"Concerns over falls and early onset dementia"

About: Lurgan Hospital / Rapid Access Clinic

(as a carer),

We were treated with the greatest respect and dignity and felt listened to.

Every member of staff we seen was genuinely interested both in their work and us.

My husband who was very anxious was put at ease and given time.

We felt that appropriate tests etc were carried out and onward referrals made.

We couldn’t praise this team enough. The nurse Corena, nursing assistant Wendy, Dr, physio and OT were tremendous. If only their professionalism reflected across the NHS we wouldn’t have gotten to where we were - feeling hopeless, a burden and not knowing where to turn.

Thankyou for all in Rapid Access Clinic Lurgan for your support. It reminded me of my days in nursing when the patient came first. 👏👏

Many thanks for taking the time to leave such positive feedback.

I am very reassured that your experience at our Rapid Access Clinic (RAC)in Lurgan was a positive one. No one should feel like a burden and your husband most certainly was not this for us.

The RAC acts as a 'one stop shop' for our elderly population as we appreciate it can be very difficult to navigate services.

I am delighted he got all the assessments that he required and that it reflected the good care that you gave during your time in the nursing profession.

I will be sure to share this lovely story with the team and the staff you have mentioned.
