One morning recently my daughter phoned for an ambulance at approximately 6.30am as I was in excruciating abdominal pain. The ambulance duly arrived with two paramedics who, I felt, were extremely rude and unpleasant (I have always found paramedics to be lovely, caring people in the past). They were at the end of a night shift and gave the clear impression that they wanted to go home.
When driving to hospital, one of the two was with me in the ambulance and was rude and uncaring. When we arrived at approximately 7.30am the paramedics dumped me in the waiting room to sit in a chair and left, saying that I was the last patient of their shift and they didn't want to wait with me on a trolley and wanted to go home. I was in far too much excruciating pain to sit on a chair.
I found the whole experience appalling and very distressing. P.S. I have never complained about any NHS experience before in my life.
"Very bad experience with paramedics"
