(as a parent/guardian),

I attended Antrim Day Surgery Unit today with my son for dental extraction.  My son was extremely anxious and scared but staff were absolutely amazing with him.  

The nurses, anaesthetic and dental staff were patient, supportive, professional and caring from start to finish.  They made us both more relaxed and made a difficult appointment a much more positive experience.

We are very grateful, thank you to all.

Hi Whit515,

My name is Annette Shaw and I am the Sister in the day surgery unit.

I am delighted to hear that both you and your son had a very positive experience, it can be very daunting for both the child and the parent but the staff do try and ensure that they provide a caring and stress free environment which is very good for children.
