"A specific doctor was very disrespectful and rude"

About: General practices in Fife

(as the patient),

I attended my GP practice where I felt a specific doctor was very disrespectful and rude.

I've had my second child. So my health visitor said contact doctor to be referred to hospital to speak in regards to another c section. The doctor gave me a cheeky response to say well you won't know until you get pregnant, I was just wanting medical advice because of my age.

Second occasion I was called back I advised I wasn't feeling good and was getting hot and cold coughing up green phlegm and was very down in health. Because I have eczema they advised me on the phone to get a lighter duvet, wear less clothes and only wear cotton clothes...... i felt it was very cheeky that they didn't give me an appointment and gave that advice over the phone making me feel stupid and upset. I called back a week after, got another doctor and was advised I have tonsillitis and should have been given antibiotics.

Called another occasion because my c section scar was very painful and it had been 8 months after having surgery, I had tummy pain, discharge from belly button, feeling hot and cold feeling ill. I was seen and they felt my tummy but said there's nothing wrong with me, eat fresh fruit and vegetables. I even took in a cotton bud as a swab to show them, they rolled their eyes and told me to bin it and they would observce me. They didn't help at all and were cheeky. So I went to reception crying saying I never want that doctor again as they said make an appointment again for bloods. I have 2 children I have no time to call doctors and make another appointment for bloods. I felt their duty of care is not there.

So the receptionist advised to call 111 after 6pm, I did so as I wasn't well. I had to leave my 2 kids that are under 3 years old and travel to out of hours at 10pm with all the road works I got home after 11:30. I was given antibiotics and creams for thrush. If that doctor done their job I wouldn't have to rely on out of hours as they are busy enough.

I know I have eczema, I know I'm 8 months postpartum, I know I'm sensitive, however I have had over 7 courses of antibiotics since last October and that isn't healthy. I feel no one cares about my health and I'm tired of that doctor being rude and cheeky. I google everything now because I get anxiety calling doctors.
