Our loved one became unexpectedly unwell and during their last days we received compassionate care from amazing staff from the Scottish Ambulance Service, Glasgow Royal Infirmary Emergency Department and ward 46.
The staff all went above and beyond to care for our loved one and our family. Nothing was ever too much. The care was above and beyond, staff were empathetic, sensitive and kind. Despite long shifts and the hardships that the NHS currently faces, the staff were always there to help and always had a smile on their face. We cannot thank them enough for all of their care and support.
In particular we would like to thank: paramedics Gail and James, ED nurses David and Scarlett, ED Dr Salmon and ward 46 nurses Julie and Gillian.
Of course, there were many more amazing staff members and we can only apologise for not including everyone’s names. Thank you again.
"Compassionate care at the end of life"
