About: Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency Ninewells Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

Apologies this thank you has taken so long.

I was knocked down walking my dogs in February, sustaining fractured clavicle and full thickness scalp lacerations along with some other injuries.

The ambulance crew from Crieff responded quickly. Scott from the crew (I hope name correct), was both kind and professional both on attendance, and en route to Ninewells Accident and Emergency.

Once there, I was treated extremely well by all members of staff, and in a timely manner, receiving x-rays, cat scan and other tests/observations. After that I was transferred to the observation unit where all staff were absolutely superb in the care and kindness I received.

In the morning, Gillian - Maxillofacial surgeon -  spent time carefully stitching my scalp wounds. Again, demonstrating reassurance, kindness and care, along with an Orthopaedic Surgeon who was also extremely kind giving guidance to other staff.

I can only describe the care I received from every member of staff as outstanding and cannot thank the entire team for giving me such attention and care.

Thank you

Dear travellernt47,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read about what happened to you and I do hope that you are feeling better and on the road to a full recovery. Thank you as well for sharing such kind words about Scott, it is great to hear positive stories about the work our wonderful staff provide.

If you wish I can pass on the feedback to the crew directly. To do so we would need to know the date, time and address that the Ambulance attended and of course your name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best and thanks again.

Kind Regards

Alan

Dear travellernt47

Thank-you for taking the time to post about your recent care experience; aspects which involved the emergency department and its observation ward. I will share your lovely feedback with the wider ED team which I'm sure will give them a real boost. I hope you are recovering well.

Kind regards
