"Reassuring staff at Day Surgery Ward"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

"A minor operation is something other people have."

Well, I was so frightened as I went into Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline for two days for my inguinal hernia operation. The medical team was led by reassuring Mr Naqvi and Doctors like Canadian Keith.

My daytime Nurse was  Rebecca and night time Stephanie. They could not have been kinder or more caring.I had my own en suite room with TV and all the staff were so attentive, expert, professional, friendly and so used to frightened patients. The Polish Anaesthetist put my mind at rest and I even tried my simple tourist Polish with him. I am so grateful to all of them.

Dear Sliema,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your lovely feedback on your recent admission with us.

I am glad that you found the staff to be caring and attentive and that we were able to make a daunting experience a little easier for you.

I will ensure your kind comments are shared with the team, in particular Rebecca and Stephanie who I am sure will be delighted that you were so pleased with the level of care they provided you with.

Hope you are recovering well.

Best Wishes,

Nicolle & the Day Surgery Team
