I booked a recent appointment having filled out the appointment form via their online booking form. Got to tje appointment, and at no time did the doctor even address the reason for my being at the appointment... embarrassingly I had to ask about it as I was being seemingly rushed through the appointment. I was not examined, not asked anything about my current symptoms, not asked how it is affecting me. I felt that thw doctor used my medical history to " conclude diagnosise" me.
I was prescribed some pain management, and was given a number for self referral.
I wasn't even given an option for a scan or an X Ray which not only left me confused,but very upset and let down.
Neither was I given the options for any assistance I am able to get. I seemed to get an " it is what it is" attitude from my doctor. It I got the feeling that they were not in anyway interested in helping me get a resolution or peace of mind for my issues.
I felt like my hand was then forced to request a second opinion by requesting to go private( I cannot in anyway afford this route),but her almost dismissive attitude made me feel as if my matter is being diminished in value. This is as honest as I can get in this feedback, and I am not putting anyone down..and dont want to get struck off the register for my honesty...please please..I have only asked for help? I hope this matter can be resolved.
