Appointment at 10am, ask to attend 30 mins prior to provide details etc. I arrived at 9.30am, around 10.25am I was called in. Staff very friendly, competent, no problem at all. Colonoscopy procedure didn’t commence until approx 11.15, again staff friendly, efficient, competent and all went well. Discharge OK, however when I get home and read the paperwork, it includes a leaflet about banding my piles during the procedure, to my knowledge tiny piles were mentioned to me, however nothing about them being banded. Have I had any piles banded or not?
Why was I ask to attend 30 mins before my appointment when you are not seen until much later than even my appointment time?
This is my second appointment at CHEC and both times the appointment times were delayed, when I attend the QMC for this procedure (which I have at least twice a year) they are more efficient and one time and quicker.
