"My life has entirely changed for the better"

About: Thurrock Services / Inclusion Thurrock Psychological Therapies Service

(as a service user),

The best way for me to describe how beneficial the therapy with Jade at Inclusion Thurrock was, is for me to give a before and after.

Before therapy I was deeply depressed, I stopped working and wouldn't leave the house. I would only leave the house once every 1-2 weeks, was self-harming regularly and neglecting myself. I hear a voice and would comply with everything the voice told me to do. I was having terrible sleep, only sleeping 2-3 nights per week. I had constant negative thoughts about myself and was considering ending my life.

I had therapy at Inclusion Thurrock with Jade for just under a year where I not only learned skills and techniques to help improve my life but also learned a lot about myself.

Now after finishing therapy, sleepless nights have now become rare. I am now sleeping most nights uninterrupted. I am now leaving the house and am able to do things which I enjoy to do. Exercising every day and going for walks. I have returned to work and am currently working 2 days a week with intention of gradually increasing my days to full time. I still hear a voice but I no longer comply with everything the voice tells me to do. I have stopped self-harming entirely. I still have negative thoughts about myself, however I am able to use the techniques taught to me in order to deal with them.

To sum it all up, my life has entirely changed for the better. I feel like I am in a position where I can begin to actually enjoy living and do things that I want to do. For that I am forever grateful for the work Jade and Inclusion Thurrock have done to help me get here.

Manage the team of therapists, and do some therapy myself.
