"Supported during a stressful & anxious time"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Paediatrics wards (19 & 20)

(as a parent/guardian),

I would like to share my experience. My son broke his arm almost 4 weeks ago. We initially went to Monklands where the staff were fantastic and seen him promptly before we moved to Wishaw. The staff there were equally understanding and kept us informed at every stage.

My son required several hours of surgery and I can’t thank the team that operated enough along with the voluntary staff who ensured we got the support we needed during this stressful and anxious time. I can’t thank the team in Monklands A&E or staff in ward 20 enough for the care my son got. He is thankfully on the mend.

Dear kilorb89,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Monklands Emergency Department and University Hospital Wishaw, General Surgery.

What a frightening time you have all had recently! I am so pleased to hear that you and your son have been so well cared for while he was assessed, treated and went for surgery.

I look forward to sharing your kind words with the teams at both sites who I am sure will be delighted to hear that you felt so well taken cared of.

I hope your son has a speedy recovery.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
