"St Albans fracture clinic "

About: St Albans City Hospital

Terrible experience,

We were referred to the clinic due to the urgent nature of the condition but clinic refused to accept the referral that came from the A&E, though the A&E said this matter should be seen within the next 7 days.

The fracture clinic advised we call our GP to be the referred to different clinic . when we called our GP, we they told us the clinic we are being referred to will take 6-8 weeks to be seen and given the nature of the injury and the urgency it needs to be seen. we must be seen by the fracture clinic who deal with urgent cases.

When we called back to the clinic, they refused to listen and proceeded to hang up the phone mid conversation.

this is a very poor service and a poor way to treat people that need urgent care. They need to remember that people calling this service are venerable and should not be neglected like this.

currently there is a patient who needs needs just an urgent consultation and they were refused though being referred by two departments.

this is utter neglect......
