"Amazing from start to finish"

Our 11 month old son was admitted by the GP, as soon as we arrived at the Children’s assessment unit the staff were attentive and kind. We were quickly seen by a doctor, no long waits. A diagnoses was quickly established and treatment started straight away. The team on the children’s ward, the doctors and ENT staff were all phenomenal. Nothing was ever too much, we were constantly attended to and all staff ensured we as worried parents were informed of everything that was being done and why, they made sure we were eating and drinking. The staff treated our son like their own, the level of love and care given to him was something I would hope every patient to receive. We stayed 4 nights, 3 in private rooms and 1 on shared ward. My partner suffers with a bad back and on his night stay in the hospital he was offered a bed to sleep in rather than the pull out chair bed which made his day, something so simple yet during sure a tough and scary time it was everything!

During our stay it was evident there were a lack of drinking cups for younger babies/toddlers, were donated a number of sippy cups to the ward. On returning home with our son we received a lovely handmade thank you card from the ward, such a lovely personal touch!

Amazing staff, a real credit to the hospital. In the future if we have any issues we will without hesitation be going back to Chester.
