"Urgent treatment centre experience"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had a rather nasty fall at school recently so I took her to the Urgent Treatment Centre at Grantham hospital to get checked over due to concerns over concussion.

The centre was very busy but the staff were wonderful from the lady on reception who was happy and smiley despite being busy to the wonderful nurse Kathleen who saw my daughter followed but the jolly friendly doctor.

I felt so pleased with the response and thankfully there were no further concerns for my daughter. Having staff who could make the experience less daunting through their friendly manner made such a difference to her and a worried parent! The doctor was even joking that my daughter would become a doctor herself which she found funny.

In a time where many will criticise the NHS I felt it was important to speak out of the positive experiences that happen. Without the NHS we would be lost and must protect it at all cost!

Dear Claire2024!

As a team, we take pride in the service we provide and are always aiming to make improvements. I am delighted that all was well and you would like to acknowledge the fantastic team that we have here in Grantham.

I will share your feedback with them accordingly. Comments are shared at morning meetings and feedback such as this will certainly help boost morale and remind staff that their hard work and dedication is appreciated.

Regards

Teresa
