"Care during miscarriage"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Musgrove Park Hospital / Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic Musgrove Park Hospital / Gynaecology Musgrove Park Hospital / Surgical Division Unit South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I recently had a miscarriage, and as distressing and traumatic as it was, the care that I received during that time and the compassion and kindness that was shown to me and my husband by every single person we encountered made the world of difference.

From the sonographer who carried out our initial scan and had to break the bad news, to the team in EPAC who were supportive all the way through, to the paramedics who came out to me and the doctors, nurses, HCA's in A&E and the Surgical Decision Unit, and then the Gynaecology team who carried out the surgery I needed; every member of staff we interacted and dealt with was exemplary in the care provided and handled the situation with such sensitivity and made us feel very safe and taken care of.

I feel this is something that deserves to be acknowledged and praise given, as it made such a big difference at such a difficult time.

Good afternoon hm92,

Thank you so much for providing us with feedback on the recent service you received from us, it is much appreciated! We are so glad to hear that you were well looked after by the ambulance crew who attended you, though we are sorry that you had to experience this at all.

For confidentiality, your patient information is redacted on this platform and so we cannot find the details of your incident, we would love to pass your message onto the Ambulance crew who attended you and so, if you would be willing to share some additional information, please could you email compliments@swast.nhs.uk with your name, date the ambulance arrived, address and thank you message, we will then ensure this is passed onto to the relevant crew.

Thank you again for taking the time to feedback and we do hope you're recovering well!

Kindest regards,

Carly
