"The long term support I have received has been faultless"

About: General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as the patient),

The long term support I have received as a patient at MacLean Medical Practice in Eaglesham has been faultless. My doctor always takes the time to listen to my concerns, address them and provide a clear plan of action for future care. She has always gone above and beyond her duties to ensure I am supported in addressing my health concerns. She is also not patronising, speaks to me as an equal and appears to genuinely care and want to help.

It can however be very difficult to get an appointment if not an emergency appointment. I will phone up at 8.30 when appointments are available for the next 2 weeks, wait on hold for 5 minutes then be told all appointments are taken and advised to phone back the next day. I realise this is probably due to the service being over demand, however I thought I would mention it as it can be challenging during times where an appointment is needed but not urgent.

This would however be my only criticism of the service as on the whole my experience with this practice have been nothing short of excellent and I thank the doctors and staff for their continued efforts.

Dear Etak

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback via Care Opinion.

It is great to hear about the excellent care and treatment you have received from MacLean Medical Practice. It is evident from your feedback how much you value this support. This is the type of patient care that we strive to deliver and it will be my pleasure to forward this to the Practice. It makes such a difference to staff when their patients recognise their hard work and dedication especially during these challenging times.

I am sorry to hear about the issues you encounter regarding appointments. Just to let you know that GP Practices are not registered to respond to feedback received via Care Opinion, but I will share this with the Practice Manager. If you would like to discuss this further can you please contact the Practice Manager?

Thank you

Nicole
