"Disappointing recent visit to audiology"

About: Blaydon Primary Care Centre

The staff in audiology are usually spot on and lovely , helpful etc

Recently however I went to get a tube replaced on my hearing aid and the woman was abrupt , rude and made me feel guilty to be there!

I asked how long do hearing aids last as I've had mine for years , she said " we Don't give out spares" I "wasn't" even asking for spares !!!

I felt annoyed that I was made to feel like a free loader for asking a reasonable question !!

Such a shame as I've always had lovely staff when visiting audiology !!

That woman needs to learn manners and compassion!!

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback.

We are sorry to hear you felt the staff member in the Audiology department was rude and abrupt. This is certainly not the standard we set ourselves and we are disappointed you felt this way.

If you are a frequent visitor to the department and experience this again, please bring it to the attention of a senior member of the team.

Kind Regards.
