"Day surgery for polyps and sinuses at monklands hospital"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

Got to day surgery early morning in mid july, from the very start i was kept informed by staff what was happening, i thought i was having nasal polyps removed then was told by surgeon Mr Balaji sinuses were involved too having read up on this I was very apprehensive but this lovely man put me at ease and explained it was best thing for me, I happily went ahead, got visit from anaesthetist who explained his role and I signed to go ahead. Then everything was checked 3 times by the lovely nurses, everyone of them were so kind and thorough, after operation went to recovery and care was amazing, they are a credit at ENT day surgery to NHS, Thank you all so very much for looking after all of us in the recovery room, it was very much appreciated nothing was a bother to the whole team.

Dear Wee M,

Thanks you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Monklands, Day Surgery.

It can be a worrying time attending hospital for a procedure, especially if there is an extra part involved that you hadn't expected. I am so pleased to hear that Mr Balaji, the anaesthetist and all the nursing team were able to give you reassurance and clear explanations. I am sure this must have made you feel at ease.

I look forward to passing on your kind words to the team who I am sure will get a real boost in hearing your feedback.

I hope you are recovering well.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
