"The love, care, compassion and medical attention is out of this world"

About: St Andrew's Hospice (Lanarkshire)

(as a relative),

My beautiful wife on two separate occasions was in St Andrews Hospice in Airdrie in early 2023.  Firstly this place is incredible at every level, every staff member at all levels and positions there are so loving and caring and compassionate. They're care is second to none especially for patients, but the care and comfort they give the family is also remarkable.

My beautiful wife loved all the staff, she brightened up their day as they did hers. We had tears and laughter in St Andrews Hospice. Myself and all our family can't thank you all enough. My wife had so many friends and family visiting that we got moved to a three bedroom room. I was so grateful to be allowed to stay every night with my beautiful wife, her children also stayed over thanks to us been given a bigger room.

I honestly can't thank all the staff at St Andrews Hospice enough for my wife's care, I could mention you all one by one because the love, care, compassion and medical attention you give is out of this world especially in all our time of needs ❤️ 💙 ♥️

Dear Marty70,

Thank you for writing about the support that your wife, yourself and your family received from St Andrew's Hospice. It means so much to us that you have shared some of your story about such a difficult time in your life. Your wife sounds like a beautiful person and it is so good to hear that our staff, from every department, treated you all with the care and attention that you needed and deserved.

We created family rooms for use by families to remain close to one another just as you describe. It really helps to hear your comments as they provide assurance that we are meeting the whole families needs. They also help us to shape the support that we will provide in the future so that we can continue to improve.

Our aim is to always provide the highest standards of compassion, care and support. Your feedback is the best possible evidence that we are achieving our aim because you have truly experienced our care. We are very grateful to you for taking time to express your thoughts and our staff will be so pleased to hear what you have said.

Thank you again. Please remember we are still here if you need any further advice or support,

Warmest regards,

Margaret
