"Wonderful A&E staff - thank you"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

From the lady at reception who sadly I didn’t catch your name, Nikki in triage, Dee for my ECG & bloods, and then Santosh the Consultant.

Your kindness and compassion knew no limits.

Santosh - you not only supported my physical wellbeing but probably more importantly in this instance, my emotional wellbeing. You took the time to listen intently, ensure I was physically well very thoroughly, reassured me with as much information as I needed and gave me a sensible forward plan.

We are all too aware of the pressures on the NHS, and when you assume the role of the patient, it’s terrifying - but you all took the upmost care of me and I am forever grateful and you each deserve a small token of praise.

Gerry - you have a wonderful team and I’m proud to be a slightly distant colleague.

Dear MidwifeSM,

On behalf of the whole of our ED team, thankyou so much first of all for taking the time to post such lovely feedback. We will make sure this is passed on to Nikki, Dee, Santosh and all colleagues!

You are absolutely right, there are a lot of pressures and it's wonderful to hear such positive feedback on how well you were looked after and I know this gives our team great motivation and encouragement to receive praise like this too.

Thanks again and wishing you a speedy recovery,

Yvonne McDowall

Clinical Service Manager
