"I cannot praise enough the overwhelming care I received"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Nutrition and Dietetics North Devon District Hospital / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery North Devon District Hospital / Speech and Language therapy Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

(as the patient),

I had surgery in October, 2023 for cancer of the mouth, under the excellent care of the Team there. I cannot praise enough this tight team at Wonford. They appeared to have a ‘mystical’ (😀) connection with each other, which slowly dawns.

I was/am primarily under the excellent care of  Mr. McLellan, but have seen all of the wonderful surgeons. The medical care was superb, even though I wasn’t always aware of what was happening, although my daughter certainly was.

After many setbacks I was transferred to the care of North Devon Healthcare in Barnstaple, still under the continuous interaction with and from, Mr. McLellan.

I have been seeing Claire for speech and language therapy and Emily, Dietetics at NDDH for months. They are superb in their positions: cajoling, training and lending friendly ears as required, in an understanding gentle, informative way.

In short I cannot praise enough the overwhelming care I have received, in my case, from Mr McLellan and the Team.
