"About my 16 days in hospital"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / General Surgery Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans)

(as the patient),

I feel I have not been given the proper care and I have been here for 16 days. A lot of miscommunication among the staff and no proper patient communication, different doctors come tell me things without reading previous notes.

One doctor was happy to discharge me - I don’t know from what information they wanted to discharge me. Another doctor and consultant promised MRI for my bowel but didn’t want to tell me it’s a public holiday and it won’t happen.

From when I have came in I’ve gotten worse my body is feeling weak as days go by my stool not improving, my weight reducing (now 48kg was 60kg in February) and nothing has been done about my loose stool, was told no treatment can be prescribed as they need to do MRI to confirm 100% what the issue is.

How much longer should I suffer? I am in my 20s and it almost feels like use were trying to get rid of me and that the bed is more important than the patient. I asked to be discharged cause my parents decided to take me to another country to get treatment as everything ( MRI scans and necessary scans) is done a lot faster than here.

Absolutely disappointed, thought NHS was able to help me but clearly not.
