Had a skin infection that appeared to be worsening fairly rapidly and - before it got too serious - thought I should get it looked at quickly. No prompt availability with my NHS GP, so I took a chance on the Soho Walk In service. Best decision I made today.
Arrived at around 3pm, seen very promptly by a Nurse Practitioner who I had immediate confidence in. Quick check of vital signs, then an examination of the infected area. Antibiotics prescribed, picked up literally 5 minutes later from the adjoining pharmacy (who were also delightful). From arrival to departure (with my tablets) was probably 25 minutes max.
The NHS at its finest. There when I needed it, done and dusted quickly, and nothing (except the prescription charge) to pay,
