Good afternoon. I recently attended the Vanguard unit at Hairmyres Hospital , Lanarkshire for a colonoscopy. 

To say that I was apprehensive would be a bit of an understatement.

However when I arrived I was immediately put at ease by the friendly and considerate way I was treated. The staff in the unit looked after me with a considerate and caring attitude and made what I expected to be an ordeal a straightforward procedure.

They are very much a credit to their profession.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback for the team working with the Vanguard unit. I'm pleased the staff were able to provide you with reassurance and put you at ease throughout your stay. Attending for a colonoscopy can be unnerving and to read that you found it to be straightforward with the caring attitude of the team is very positive.
