"Unsafe psychiatric ward 19 Hairmyres with poor standard of care"

A relative discharged from this ward when clearly very unwell. Only days after absconding and nearly killed due to wandering on to roads. Patient was administered IM injections up until day of discharge yet detention revoked and sent away told would be better off in the community, was almost killed hours later and reported missing by family and friends. In my opinion it is not fit for purpose and staff if felt seemingly could not be bothered to put robust treatment plans in place to allow patients to recover with a view to sustainable recovery. 

I am aware it is a difficult job but they chose that as a profession and have to ask if they would like to be chucked out the door when family / friends not happy with the mental state that the patient is in.
