Foolishly I slipped with my new suitably sharp bread knife resulting in a deep cut on the heal of my thumb on my left hand. It wouldn't stop bleeding and it was a bit scary.
I'm so grateful to have a Minor Injury Unit close at hand (no pun intended). Everyone was kind, capable and reassuring. I felt very confident with the care I was given. Six stitches and a big bandage later I was on my way.
I returned for a wound check a couple of days later and advice on how to care for it and when to have the stitches removed. I feel reassured and very grateful for the fabulous care I have been given.
Big thank you to all concerned.
