"From start to finish we were put at ease"

About: Maternity care / Maternity care (Ward 50)

(as a service user),

I had my baby in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

I was really so nervous about this as for various reasons my mode of delivery was not my first choice.

However from start to finish we were put at ease. I can’t not mention my midwife Brenda (honestly she is a hero and an angel) and midwife Amy and student midwife Rachel on ward 50, putting up with my paranoia and high expressed emotion. Can’t fault the care!

Dear Boden55,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience here at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Maternity Unit during the birth of your baby.

I am delighted to read how you were helped to feel at ease during your journey and that Brenda, Amy and Rachel have had such a positive impact on you. I have passed on your praise and gratitude to them all.

It is such a stressful and emotional time when having your baby and it is always our aim here at the QEUH to provide compassionate and person centred care for women and their babies.

Very best wishes,

Gaynor
