"Made me comfortable and at ease"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as the patient),

I broke my ankle in two places for which I was in moon boot. I kept getting pain just under my knee so had another X-ray and I had fractured my tibial plateau. I have never been in a plaster cast and it was Steven that looked after me, he explained everything that was going to happen, he made me comfortable and at ease as I didn’t know what it would be like. He is so caring and professional at his job.

Went back to NTC recently as my plaster cast on bottom of foot had tore, so I travelled down and Stephen took care of it for me explaining what was gonna happen. Brought my appointment forward so next time I was back it was Stuart that looked after me by taking my plaster cast off to which I had to be in moon boot again. He explained everything that was going to happen, they made me comfortable and at ease as I didn’t know what it would be like. He is also so caring and professional at his job.

Hi Diesel24

My name is Fiona Stewart and I am the charge nurse within the National treatment centre outpatient dept.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give such positive feedback on your experience within the plaster room. I am pleased that Steven, Stephen and Stuart all made you comfortable and at ease and were very professional. We strive to always give quality person centred care.

I will share this lovely feed back with them.

I wish well in your continued recovery.

Charge nurse Fiona Stewart
