"Worth their weight in gold"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as a service user),

I attended a&e minors a few days after attending a &e, was looked after by specialist nurse Brian, who then got Dr Clenaghan involved. To say I was put at ease and taken care of is an understatement. They sorted me with pain relief, ordered tests, and have followed up the tests by various referral pathways.

They have gone above and beyond for me, and I am beyond grateful. Everyone is so nice and reassuring. The place is also immaculate. Have to say, when there is an emergency the Nhs comes in to its own, and these guys are worth their weight in gold. Thank you so much! You have made a stressful personal situation for me much more pleasant. Thank you.

Hope your well. My name is Joanne Daly Support Services Manager responsible for cleaning service within Altnagelvin. Thank you for this lovely acknowledgment for the hard work of the domestic team, they work so hard work hard keeping the hospital clean and nice to hear it described as immaculate. The cleaners play such vital part of our patients journey. I will share this lovely comment with all the cleaning team team and in particular the cleaning staff in this area.
