"Telephone number was wrong"

About: St John's Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I recently made use of an outpatient appointment service to attempt to change an appointment which arrived by letter in the post. The process of attempting to change my appointment touched four different people each of whom were lovely and all helpful. Thank you.

Telephone numbers - the telephone number listed on my letter to use to change my appointment was wrong. On using it I was directed to another, this was wrong, and I was further directed to another. After four attempts I arrived at the right place with someone who could help.

This feels like an easy problem to solve for outpatients and staff alike to save time and frustration.

Dear hippocb38,

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback on your recent experience.

I am very sorry to read about the difficulty you faced in trying to rearrange an outpatient appointment. We will review the letters sent to patients to ensure the correct phone numbers are listed.

Best wishes,

Rosalind Wise

Assistant Service Manager, Gynaecology
