"Great experience"

About: South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust

I attended South Tyneside Accident and Emergency in early March and was diagnosed with a torn right leg achilles tendon (shredded). The plaster staff were excellent and very helpful and I was referred to the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics, at Sunderland, where I was seen by the Limb Reconstruction Specialist Physiotherapist (who was most knowledgeable, personable and very helpful. Explaining everything in a simple and precise way and fully answering any questions that I had. Both she and the other physiotherapist could not have given me better treatment. They were excellent and I cannot praise them too much.

I am now on the road to recovery thanks to these members of staff who are a credit to the Trust and to the National Health Service.
