I was admitted to Grantham & District Hospital recently for removal of left arm lipoma. Signed in and was took to ward and doctor came round to check every thing and tell me and get ready for surgery and then went away.
The Nurses came round and took my blood pressure and weight and temperature and checked if had anything to eat as only drink an name tag on me. They asked me put grown on an stockings on as stop blood clots so ready for when they came to collect me to go down theatre.
The nurses that was on duty for that day was also a student and she was very good, they was very polite and caring and came up with me to the theatre.
They was very very good as it could not have gone better and I had very good care while I was in. I was a bit nervous and they reassured me that they would look after me all the way.
While having it done I was awake as had an injection. The consultant Mr Karri and the professional was very good as he asked if ok. Also the lady who was watching over me holding my hand all the way through was very good. When I got cramp in my right leg she massaged it and all well and good as nearly done.
They took me down to the recovery ward and I had pudding and coffee then I went home. My partner picked me up.
The care I got I was very pleased with it was very good as they could not have done any more for me. They looked after me well. I was a bit sore as there was bruising which I expected.
After I got home I was able to relax. Cannot fault them as I had good care while in, so thank you for all staff.
