"Big thanks to all"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Elective Orthopaedics (Ward 7) University Hospital Hairmyres / General Surgery (Ward 5)

(as the patient),

I was recently in for scheduled elbow operation and it couldn't have went any smoother. I was well looked after, privacy provided, staff there were cheery and supportive, well informed for after op procedures before being discharged .

I had not eaten for nearly 20hrs + as this was my instruction before op, when wheeled into recovery ward, the lassies brought me loads of sandwiches and had 2 mugs ae tea and packets of biscuits.  They were all very welcoming, much appreciated. The better half and ma wee boy ( 6f 7"!) came and picked me up after the staff were sure I was ok to go home .

I cant thank you all there at Hairmyres enough, also shout out to Ms Crighton - Consultant who originally I had appointments with prior to op, and fairly quickly assessed my need for op in the early assessments, so I'll end by saying, a big thanks to all, and the surgeons that performed my op , stay safe and best wishes to all.

Dear Tommyxjs900

Thank you for your kind feedback following your elbow surgery. I am pleased to read that staff were cheery and supportive. I will share your comments with the wider team who will appreciate you sharing your experience. Your thanks will also be shared with Ms Crighton.
