"Diagnosis of knee injury"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

I had a knee injury, which I felt was quite serious.

I attended Stobhill minor injury unit, was given an xray, which of course showed nothing, given painkillers and crutches.

I had to pay over £600 for private consult and MRI to tell me I have torn meniscus and ligament, which I pretty much felt it was. I am a fit and active person, this has had a huge impact on my life

Fail to see how a nurse practitioner can make a diagnosis of a strain. As a nurse myself, I have no confidence in the NHS. Makes me scared for my future health problems..
