"Care received for corneal abrasion"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

Had to attend A&E at Royal Alexandra Hospital for an eye injury. Turned out there was a piece of contact lens stuck in my eye and a corneal abrasion.

The triage nurse was amazing and even spoke to me outside when her shift was finished.  Michelle who treated me as well was wonderful. Was seen and treated in 2 1/2 hours.  Staff were making and hospital clean.

Only recommendation was there could have been water available as waiting area was very warm.  But overall well done NHS

Dear Zacster08

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our A&E on Care Opinion. Such kind words which are greatly appreciated. I will ensure those involved get sight of your post.

I will also pass your comment around water availability to the sites facilities team for consideration.

Best wishes

Gerry
