"From the second they arrived I knew he was in safe hands"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was taken to monklands A and E department by a glasgow ambulance crew who included two males and a female student. Im sorry i didnt retain any of your names.

From the second they arrived I knew he was in safe hands. They had made it in record time from glasgow to lanarkshire. Saying thank you just does not feel enough for what these guys do.

They got us to Monklands A and E where the staff were fast in accepting us and equally as kind and caring. The doctors name was Rachel, the support workers were outstanding, professional and so supportive.

Again a thank you does not seem enough for the level of kindness and professionalism.

Dear Mkee,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Monklands, Emergency Department.

I am so pleased to hear that you received such efficient and professional service from Dr Rachel and the clinical support workers who treated your son in the emergency department. It must have been such a worrying time for you, as a parent myself I can only imagine, and I am so glad our dedicated staff looked after you both so well.

I look forward to passing on your kind words to the whole team who I am sure will take great pride in hearing your feedback and will get a real boost from this, especially Rachel.

I hope your son is feeling better now.

Kind Regards,

Jenni

Good Afternoon,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read about what happened to your son, I hope that they are feeling better. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult a time this must have been for you to see your child taken away in an Ambulance but it is great to hear such positive stories about the work our wonderful staff provide.

If you wish I can pass on the feedback to the crews directly. To do so we would need to know the date, time and address that the Ambulance attended and your sons name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best and thanks again.

Kind Regards

Alan
