I was admitted to the assessment ward in PRI a couple of days ago after seeing my doctor at the surgery. I was shocked that I had to go into hospital and was quite stressed about the situation.
When I arrived to the assessment ward I was quickly put to ease by the warm welcome I received from nurse Stephanie who had been expecting me. Stephanie was very caring and attentive and took time to explain the process to me. I then got seen by the nurse practitioner but sadly can't remember his name. The nurse practitioner was very thorough and got my treatment started quickly. The assessment ward seemed busy and I was in awe watching the team bounce between patients all whilst smiling and seemed to be a very efficient team.
I then got moved to ward 4 and met nurse Mark and the student nurse working with him (I think was called Blake or Blair) who both looked after me very well. Mark explained what would happen next and made sure I had everything I needed as I hadn't expected to come into hospital.
Everyone I met was excellent at what they do and I can't thank the team enough for all they done for me and getting me back home so quickly. Please pass my many thanks to nurse Stephanie, the nurse practitioner, nurse mark, student nurse, dr harper and everyone else who I sadly cannot remember the names of. A true credit to the NHS.
