"Friendly, kind and supportive"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / Paediatrics (Ward 15) Borders General Practices

(as a parent/guardian),

I attended my GP with my 6 year old son as I thought he had a chest infection. His breathing deteriorated whilst there and he was taken to the BGH by ambulance.

We were met in A&E by the paediatric team who treated him and admitted him to ward 15. Every single member of staff involved was excellent. I felt fully informed of everything that was happening and my son was well cared for.

The staff were friendly, kind and supportive, as were the students (Hannah and Amy) in each unit. He has made a rapid and full recovery.

Special thanks to Dr Eunson and the 2 Amys and 2 Claires for your excellent care in ward 15 and to our GP, Dr Williams at Stow Health Centre, for her thorough assessment and for acting so quickly.

Dear Gemini87, thanks so much for taking the time to use Care Opinion. I'm sorry your son has been so unwell, I do hope he is on the way to make a full recovery. I will pass on your kind compliments to the ED Team. Thanks again for the lovely feedback,

Best wishes
