I would like to say how impressed I was with the EAU ward when there for a few hours on Saturday. I am amazed at the improvements made since I last had experience with that ward when my husband was there some years ago. I had been referred from the out of hours. As an ex nurse myself I do rather scrutinise care ! I must say the care was excellent from all the staff on Saturday and the little additions in the ward eg. the trolley with snacks and drinks and the provision of a very nice meal at lunchtime, a great improvement on the limited choice of sandwiches they used to give out! I did note from a comment of the patient opposite me that the problem of the nurses talking all night so that patients can't sleep still doesn't seem to have been overcome. Thank you again I am proud of our hospital.
