"Losing my baby"

About: Mental Health Services / Perinatal Mental Health Team

(as the patient),

At 19 weeks we went for a private gender scan to find out that our baby has passed away.

It was the worst day of our lives and a pain that only those who have experienced it can understand.

We were provided with a range of support and felt heard, seen and understood.

Thank you quinn14 for posting about your experience. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your baby, it is such a painful time for you, your partner and your family. I am glad to hear that you found the supports you were offered helpful and you felt acknowledged in your grief at this time. I will pass on your comments to all those involved in your care. Thanks again for taking the time to feedback.

Elaine, Lead for MNPI, Lanarkshire
