"Dirty and unloved"

About: Royal United Hospital

I recently spent a day in the emergency department and was shocked at how dirty the place was. It felt like I was in a 3rd world hospital. In the toilet the bin was overflowing with paper with paper also sat on top of the bin and on the floor. At no point was I asked to use hand gel during my stay. I had to ask for something to eat once I had been there for several hours and had to ask for a pillow. The staff are very good though - just overworked. When I left I was told I had to come back in 2 days time (Monday) at 10am for an appointment. The doctor made me feel like something to be scraped off her shoe. Does anyone at this hospita have any idea how difficult it is to get there at this time and hope to park? Especially on a work day when you are not feeling too well. I cancelled the appointment and will not be re-making it. I have told my wife not to call an ambulance again if I fall ill during the night as I do not want to go back there. Also - how am I supposed to review this hospital without using the capital letters that make up the name?
