"Suprumbilical hernia repair"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / General surgery

(as a service user),

I was warned the day prior to surgery that there was a shortage of beds which could possibly lead to cancellation of the operation on the allotted day. Thankfully this did not occur, although there was a significant wait.

I understand the pressure of external events that can impact routine surgical appointments and am very relaxed about this. Throughout the admissions process, consent and anaesthetic preliminaries I was treated with care, professional competence and an understanding attitude, all staff can be congratulated for being at the best of their field: and I appreciate the humour and friendliness of all that reassures concerns.
