What I liked
I was overdue with my baby in Nov 07, was meant to be having a home birth but was told I couldnt. Went to mat ward and was put in a store room for 5 hrs and only told I was going up to labour ward once my partner had gone. Midwives up there were great, even my community one came to deliver me. Cleanliness another issue, showers full of blood and delivery room floors not cleaned properly. Thats why there are no delivery rooms because they are not cleaned quickly enough. I wasnt transferred to post natal ward until 4 hrs later then left on my own with no help or support, there was only 1 midwife on luckily for me it wasnt my 1st baby
What could be improved
The food. I saw one woman who brings round the cutlery putting her hands in the knives and forks trays and playing with them. To me thats not hygenic.
Cleanliness - it was filthy and no wonder there are infections.
Staff attitude, told I couldnt go home off a student, have to wait hours for a doctor, food was awful and I didnt eat in the whole 24 hours I was there
