“Patchs” is not available online outside of surgery opening hours. What is the point of having an online service that is not (intended to be spelt in all upper case but that is seemingly N O T allowed!) available when the surgery is closed?!?
I had an accident at work last Wednesday where I was taken to a local hospital for an injury to my leg. On Saturday, my leg was getting worse so went to Hillingdon Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre. That evening, at discharge & despite not having any broken bones, I was told that I would be receiving a telephone call from the Fracture clinic.
I received that phone call yesterday and was told that as I didn’t have any broken bones I would be discharged from the fracture clinic and I should see my GP for them to check the wound.
I was told that there were no appointments available until July 5th(!) for a nurse to examine the (small) wound whilst the bruising is from my foot to my thigh.
After stating that next week wasn’t good enough, I was offered an appointment at the hub which would be via telephone. Stating that I also needed my first Med 3, it seemed wrong to have it issued via a telephone call and would it not be right to be examined by a doctor the first time?
I was then given an appointment at 1700 today.
I have always received (fairly) good service from The Medical Centre over the years, but today was rock bottom. It was like trying to get blood out of a stone. Absolutely awful.
The only reason I didn’t give a lower vote was I was trying to be generous.
Not happy at all.
"Poor service"
