"Treated with dignity, respect and compassion"

About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as other),

I was out with a group of service users on a summer trip. One of our service users became unwell and an ambulance was required. This service user is non verbal and uses a lot of Makaton.

Ambulance crew treated the service user with dignity, respect and compassion. They made him feel very comfortable in what was a very scary situation for him and overall he had a very positive experience.

Good afternoon pip123,

I am grateful to you for taking the time to share this experience of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. As an organisation we are committed to consistently showing compassion, professionalism and respect for the patients we care for, so it was heartening to learn of the approach of the Ambulance crew. Feedback such as this lifts the morale of the whole organisation in what is a challenging period. Thank you once again.

Best wishes

Neil
