"Referral to Treatment Times"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / General surgery Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Xrays & Scans General practices in Forth Valley

(as the patient),

I have been attending my General Practice coming on 4 years with pain. After begging to be referred to FV Royal in spring 2023, I received an appt to see General Surgery, autumn 2023. An Endoscopy and MRI test was requested to try and locate the root of the problem.

Eventually, 3 months later, I received an appointment for an MRI, to date no feedback has been received.  I have made numerous calls to General Surgery and return visits to my GP for an update or appointment. I have also been referred to physiotherapy (again). Eventually, after more calls to General surgery, I received an appointment 15 months after referral. I've been in pain constantly for nearly 4 years, my GP practice and NHS Forth Valley has not rushed to diagnose the problem.
